“Candlelit, and I’m in, I feel like I like it, the scent, it keeps me company! Ambient, faded lamps reflecting my loneliness.” – lyrics

‘That’s How I Like It’ tells a liberating tale about a gleaming young woman who feeds into her own energy. Apparently, her partner’s feelings are hurt because she doesn’t want her partner to come too close to her. She believes what she has is too much to be giving up just like that. “I love me, loving myself,” she tells her partner in a nice way. “I’m playing safe loving me ‘cause I know that way I can never break my heart.”

‘That’s How I Like It’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of TENSNAKE, Tinashe, and Doja Cat. The cool-as-a-cucumber tune possesses drums, keyboard, and groovy bass-laden instrumentation bursting with electro-pop flavors and contemporary dance elements. Furthermore, “That’s How I Like It” is a fun-filled sonic wonderment that allows Nazzereene’s voice to cut through and take listeners on a seductive journey through time.

“Loving myself, too much to give it up!”

“It was a stage in my life where I was just not wanting someone to come into my life. A mixture between being content on my own but also closed off entirely because I don’t want to get hurt. I explain the thoughts and feelings through my lyrics! Not a super happy song but not a sad song either! Absolute mix and a little deeper.” – Nazzereene explained the inspiration behind the creation of “That’s How I Like It”

Nazzereene started as a dancer when she was nine years old. She found her voice via musical creation with the help of her vocal coach/father, Naider. A few of her musical influences include Rihanna, Jhené Aiko, Bruno Mars, and The Weeknd.

Not too long, Nazzereene appeared on the national TV program, The X Factor. At 18-years-old, she received a standing ovation from three superstar judges. Also, she had the entire Hisense Arena on their feet. Nazzereene then took to The Voice stage, where she turned a chair in the Blind Auditions with her soulful and heartfelt rendition of “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles. Also, Nazzereene went on to be mentored by U.S superstar brothers, The Madden Brothers (front-men of the band, Good Charlotte).
