Kosine – “Truth Serum” album video

‘Truth Serum’ is a story of self-discovery and a true look into Kosine’s coming of age story. The project discusses Black Lives Matter, relationships, and navigating the rise and fall of a career. The purposeful project features contributions from Diane Warren (Celine Dion, Toni Braxton, Aerosmith), Jeremih, Idris Elba, and Leon Thomas III. Also, Marsha Ambrosius (The Game, Nas, Goldlink, Queen Latifah) executively produced the EP.

The video emphasizes Kosine’s roots. Also, the visuals distinguish him as an outlier within the hip-hop and R&B community.

“Music was always a form of meditation at home.” Kosine stated

Kosine comes from a multi-cultural background. He grew up with a Panamanian mother and a former Olympian father, Teodoro Palacios Flores (1968 summer Olympics), from Guatemala. Their influences can be relayed through his first solo body of work, which was shaped heavily by family. Also, Kosine has worked with Justin Bieber (“Eenie Meenie”) Sean Kingston, Big Sean (“Dance (A$$))”, Rihanna + Chris Brown (“Birthday Cake”), and Nicki Minaj (“Anaconda”). Also, Kosine plans on spreading himself as an artist more in 2021.
