Kara Connolly is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter from San Diego. Not too long ago, she released a wonderful music video for her “Other People” single.

Kara Connolly – “Other People”

“It’s about when you get out of a relationship and you know at first you’re thinking about that person every day. Then it’s every week, then it’s every month, and then time continues to pass and you technically move on but there’s something quite beautifully tragic about that too. Isn’t it strange to think that person is still out there, going through the daily motions of their life, just without you?” – Kara Connolly

The Cold Creator-directed audiovisual was inspired by sentimental indie romance films such as 500 Days of Summer and Juno.

The sentimental video shows the post-relational worlds of a young woman and her ex-boyfriend, played by Navid Golemohammadi.

Once upon a time, the ex-couple used to do everything together. But now, while in the process of moving on with their individual lives, they have grown apart and are now spending time with other people.

But every now and then, the woman reminisces about her ex and the good times they shared together.

“This track remains one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written because I feel like I found a way to express this sort of bittersweet emotion that I had been experiencing, but couldn’t quite find the words for.” – Kara Connolly

‘Other People’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and luxurious instrumentation flavored with an indie-pop aroma.

Also, the song will be featured on Kara Connolly’s debut album, entitled, “Life in Rear View”. The 12-track project will be available on May 17, 2019, via Karat Cake Music.
