“Kept it to myself, my heart is of no use. Yes, it makes me feel good, I’ll always find an excuse to keep on living life on the black market. No one knows about us, life on the black market, don’t you tell me I’m wrong.” – lyrics

‘Black Market’ will be featured on Azu Yeché’s upcoming EP, set to be released late 2019.

The likable tune follows the release of Yeché’s previously released singles, entitled, “Farmhouse” and “Sunrise”.

Also, it was produced by Peter Lyons (Jodie Abacus, Peter & Kerry, and LA Salami).

“A defiant love song about forbidden love, be it same-sex love or interracial relationships in the ‘50s. It celebrates a love that has been forced to exist on the sidelines or any love that has had to hide because of the fear of rejection.” – Azu Yeché

Azu Yeché’s musical influences include Prince, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Wyclef Jean, Seal, Sade, and Michael Kiwanuka to name a few.

He recently came off a sold-out mini-tour across the U.K and will be performing a string of summer gigs, with stops in Paris and Copenhagen.

After the summer, he will be gearing up to release his new EP on his own record label, entitled, Farmhouse Records.

‘Black Market’ contains a relatable storyline, soulful vocals, and tuneful melodies reminiscent of Jimmy Cliff’s harmonies.

Also, the song possesses groovy instrumentation scented with an alternative-pop aroma.
