Poundz releases a cinematic music video for his “Get Rich N Get Paid” single

Poundz is a rising rapper from London, England. Not too long ago, he released a cinematic music video for his “Get Rich N Get Paid” single.

‘Get Rich N Get Paid’ tells an urban tale about a young guy who desires to be rich and famous. Apparently, he has money on his mind and wants to pad his pockets and bank account with lots of cash.

The Eric Myers-directed video features cutaways of Poundz performing to the camera as he narrates the visual. The storyline follows an aspiring rapper and the drawbacks he faces trying to follow his passion. In a departure from his usual role in the limelight (creating dance crazes and packing his infectious, fun-loving personality into videos), Poundz takes on a role that highlights his versatility as both a performer and artist. Also, the video contains glossy edits and slick transitions that create an emotive short film.

“The song is all about showing progression and growth as it takes us on a journey from a young boy being poor and chasing his dream, to becoming a professional musician and getting rich. Even when you feel like quitting keep going. The message is that hard work pays off. What you put in is what you get out.” – Poundz explained

Poundz is undoubtedly living up to his expectations. After hitting the UK Top 40 with “Opp Thot,” he has become a machine at driving out UK rap anthems. Recently, he released a string of standout singles including  “Smooth Criminal” and “Tik Tok.” Plus, he has been featured on major hits including S1mba’s “Rover Remix” and “Freaky” alongside Swarmz and Dappy.

‘Get Rich N Get Paid’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing rap vocals that will resonate well with fans of A1 x J1, Lavish KDC, and Krept & Konan. The likable tune possesses contemporary drill instrumentation flavored with a soft bassline and heavy string section. Furthermore, “Get Rich N Get Paid” puts Poundz on a different level and provides an introspective glance at his motivation. Also, the song follows mildly on the heels of his feature on Disturbing London’s “Drip” single with Ivorian Doll, Tinie, and Yxng Bane.
