“A couple of years ago, I started posting little weekly beat clips that I would call ‘lofi affirmations,’ basically just creating a mellow beat that looped with some lyrics to help motivate a positive experience of self for the week. ‘Sheesh’ was born out of one of those. After a clip of it went semi-viral and really connected with a lot of people, I knew I wanted to make it into a full track. It’s just about coming out of a dark place back into a place of self-love and celebration, being the main character in your own story for a moment. That feeling when you are down as sh*t, but then you take a shower and throw on a hot outfit and you just decide to feel better and prioritize yourself for a second.” – Little Monarch explained
