“Waiting, while you’re out getting high with your mates in a dark car park on a Tuesday. I know, I know, I know, I know sometimes I’d join you. Lately, I feel like we’ve ran out of things to say. Took us three years to the day to realize that you’re not really my type and I’m not who I used to be. I thought that if I held on maybe we could work and that’s all I really wanted. I knew this day was coming.” – lyrics

‘Out of Love’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who finds herself slowly falling out of love with her significant other. Apparently, they have outgrown their relationship, but they are scared of letting go of each other because neither one of them wants to be alone. Later, the woman admits that they are strangers with a past and lovers with some scars.

‘Out of Love’ contains a fading relationship-based narrative, ear-pleasing vocalization, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Maisie Peters, Emily Burns, Sody, and Holly Humberstone. The emotional tune possesses moody instrumentation flooded with buoyant piano melodies, dynamic percussion, and electronic textures. Despite its sparkling sonic aesthetic, “Out of Love” dives deep into the dark depths of heartbreak.

“You know as well as I do that we fell out of love but we were too scared of letting go.”

“‘Out of Love’ is a track about realizing a love you once knew has turned bitter and quite honestly boring. I think I’m safe to say this feeling was mutual, thank God!! However, it still sucked. It’s slightly less sad than most of my other songs so enjoy. I can’t wait to perform this one live.” – Katie Kittermaster explained

Katie Kittermaster has made a name for herself penning tracks that confront the most vulnerable of human emotions. She articulates the sadness of young adulthood with wit, warmth, and clarity. Also, she possesses an ability to express some of the more difficult, confusing aspects of human relationships in a lucid, plain-spoken way. That makes her songs, even in their most downcast moments, a study of resolve, strength, and triumph.
