Adeline and KAMAUU release a music video for their “Stages” single

Adeline (pronounced ad-uh-leen) is a French-Caribbean singer-songwriter, bassist, and producer based in NYC. Not too long ago, she and KAMAUU released a music video for their “Stages” single.

Adeline and KAMAUU – “Stages” music video

“‘Stages’ is my self-affirming chant reminding me that ‘I’m not going to take sh*t from anybody anymore. I got this. I trust myself. Having KAMAUU on the song felt perfect because not only is he talented beyond words, but he’s also been a great advocate for me as a female producer.” – Adeline explained

‘Stages’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Lianne La Havas, Solange, Anderson .Paak, and Joy Crookes. The likable tune possesses melodic instrumentation flavored with neo-soul, contemporary R&B, and hip-hop elements.  Furthermore, “Stages” is featured on Adeline’s new EP, entitled, “Adi Oasis,” which features her “Eternity” single and follows her critically acclaimed, 2020 album, “Intérimes.” The project was born through Adeline’s personal experience as the world faced, and still faces, a plethora of discord.

“‘Adi Oasis’ is the artist who has been growing inside of me. Creating this EP during one of the weirdest times in our modern history — not just the pandemic, but these difficult political times, global warming, our ongoing struggle against racism, etc. — has helped me find a deeper meaning for why I make music and what being an artist means to me. Music is my oasis, the stage is my oasis, the studio is my oasis. No matter what is going on in the world, I can always find a magical place to go to. No matter how dry the world surrounding me can be, I know where to find a source of freshwater and fertile ground where plants grow. And that’s within me. ‘Adi Oasis’ is inside of me.” – Adeline explained

An unstoppable creative force, Adeline made good use of the pandemic shutdown to further explore multiple creative lanes and connect with fans. She taught herself to direct and produce six music videos and produced KAMAUU’s Youtube hit, “Mango.” The song features a guest appearance by Adeline singing a duet and playing bass. Recently, she announced the formation of Nightshade, her new production outfit with partner, Morgan Wiley (Midnight Magic, Jessica 6).

To date, Adeline has toured globally and shared stages with Anderson .Paak, Lee Fields, Chromeo, Big Freedia, and Natalie Prass. Also, she has made appearances at Afropunk, Funk on the Rocks (Red Rocks), and Winter Jazz Fest. When she’s not making and touring her own music, Adeline plays bass in CeeLo Green’s touring band. Furthermore, she has doubled her Instagram fanbase and has accumulated over 500,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
