“Everything is more song-oriented now with streaming, and making an album is a huge endeavor. I started sending just a couple of demos to Mike, but the songs kept flowing out of me, and it was pretty obvious this was going to be an album. This music and these lyrics came from sitting in the quiet and writing from a deep soul place. I said I’d never make another record—thought there was no point to it, but this music comes from my soul. I hope whoever hears this record can feel that.” – Sheryl Crow stated

The new album features recently released songs, “Do It Again” and “Digging In The Dirt” featuring Peter Gabriel, with the latter available exclusively on the Digital Deluxe version of Evolution. Critical acclaim for these tracks has poured in from notable media outlets.

Sheryl Crow’s first nine studio albums have sold 35 million copies worldwide—seven charting in the Top 10, with five certified for multi-platinum sales. Crow has been feted by a new generation of singer-songwriters who have covered her songs and talked about her influence, including Phoebe Bridgers, H.E.R., Haim, Maren Morris, Lorde, Sasami, Best Coast, and Brandi Carlile.
