“I could fly away, lost in constellations, swimming in your time and space. Life was cold and grey, trapped inside a moment, living in my yesterdays. I would never change anything about you, baby. All that I can say is, we’re just chasing stars. Supernova lovers with exploding hearts. Whenever I’m not where you are feels like I’m stranded in the dark. I’m in a house of cards, so you can hold me in your gravity arms.” – lyrics

‘Mars’ tells a nostalgic tale about a young woman who shares a budding relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she feels like she’s stranded on mars whenever she isn’t positioned beside her partner. In an ecstatic way, she tells her companion, “You are like the sun, you light up my whole world, not just mine. Everyone’s life was cold and grey until you came around.”

‘Mars’ contains ear-pleasing vocals and a dreamy, love-based narrative that will resonate well with anyone who has a soul mate. The emotive tune possesses driving bass and thudding drum-laden instrumentation flavored with electro-pop and contemporary dance elements. Furthermore, “Mars” follows hot on the heels of noelle’s cross-country tour with Virginia To Vegas and Ria Mae.

“‘Mars’ is about finding your soul person. Someone that makes you want to be a better version of yourself. I hope everyone can relate to this feeling ‘cause it’s one of the best.” – noelle explained

noelle was raised in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory in Ontario, in a family and community that surrounded her with music. Her upbringing exposed her to a vast range of musical genres, from Nat King Cole and Sarah Vaughan to the drum and native wind flute from her indigenous roots. Expressing her thoughts and emotions at her piano, coupled with a reality she sought to transcend, noelle began writing her own music as a therapeutic form of self-expression. From casually posting cover songs on YouTube, she organically built a following of over 95K subscribers and landed a deal with Wax Records at the age of 17.
