Joel Corry (@JoelCorry) is a platinum-certified DJ and producer based in London, England. MK (@marckinchen) is a revered producer, remixer, and DJ from Detroit. Rita Ora (@ritaora) is an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter based in the United Kingdom. Not too long ago, they released an official visualizer for their “Drinkin’” single.
The song follows the UK Top 10 success of “0800 HEAVEN” alongside Nathan Dawe and Ella Henderson, as well as Joel’s recent dancefloor excursions with Billen Ted (‘Do U Want Me Baby?’ feat. Elphi), Caity Baser (‘Dance Around It’), and Icona Pop & Rain Radio (‘Desire’).
Joel Corry, MK, and Rita Ora – “Drinkin’” visualizer
“‘Drinkin’’ is the late summer 2023 banger we needed. As soon as I first flipped the ‘All Night’ sample, it instantly felt like a smash, and collaborating with MK is a dream for me. I’ve been a big fan for years and he’s been a huge inspiration to me throughout my career. The icing on the cake was the incredible Rita Ora laying down the vocals. We’ve been friends for a while, and we were waiting for the right track to collaborate on. ‘Drinkin’ feels like exactly that!” – Joel Corry explained
Sampling Chance The Rapper’s All Night, “Drinkin’” taps the classic Joel Corry’s sound – warm, bubbling chords, bright, infectious vocals, and solid peak-time grooves – to land as a single that feels every bit a dance anthem in-waiting.
‘Drinkin’’ forms the first taste of new material to feature on Joel’s forthcoming debut LP, “Another Friday Night,” available on October 6, 2023, via Asylum/Atlantic Records. To coincide with the announcement of the album, Joel also announced a special headline show at London’s Ministry Of Sound on Saturday, September 30th, 2023. This will be his first London headline date since playing at the former 5000-cap venue, Printworks, in autumn 2021. Tickets are on general sale now.
Joel Corry
No one’s doing it quite like Joel Corry. He’s a hit machine who tops mainstream and underground charts, with over 4 billion catalog streams, and 5x UK platinum records, including UK #1 single “Head & Heart” with MNEK, and collaborations with Charli XCX, Mabel, RAYE, Tom Grennan, Bryson Tiller, and David Guetta under his belt.
Joel’s signature is his earworm hooks and strong melodies that connect on an emotional level. It’s an addictive sound that people keep coming back to, reflecting his ambition to make music that’s timeless. Although a certified pop star, he’s still a raver at heart, with his best memories made on dancefloors, and he holds down DJ residencies at some of the world’s best clubs from Las Vegas to Ibiza, alongside playing festivals from Ultra to Tomorrowland amid a relentless touring schedule. He never stays still: constantly evolving, hitting milestone after milestone in pop and dance music – and he’s always hungry for more.
MK
MK has over one billion global streams to his name. He is considered one of the first superstars of house music. MK’s hits such as Burning, Always, and 4You helped define the deeper shade of US House and have since influenced producers worldwide. Fast-forward to 2014 and his rework of “Look Right Through” by Storm Queen hit #1 in the UK singles chart, and was swiftly followed up with multi-platinum hits, “Pieces Of Me,” “17,” and “Back & Forth.”
More recently, MK embarked on a season-long residency alongside Calvin Harris at Ushuaia Ibiza, starred as the global face of the new Jaguar F-PACE campaign, and released the highly-anticipated, fan-driven record, “Rhyme Dust,” with Dom Dolla, which surpassed over one million worldwide streams on release day earlier this year. MK continues to sell out headline shows across the globe, too, featuring in 2023’s editions of Coachella [Sahara Tent], Bonnaroo, Reading & Leeds, Longitude, Creamfields, and more.
Rita Ora
Rita Ora has over 10 billion streams, 4 UK #1 singles, and has held the record for the most Top 10 singles for a British female artist in the history of the UK with a total of 13. She was among the first artists to receive a BRIT Billion award this year, acknowledging her outstanding achievement in recorded music by surpassing the landmark of one billion career UK streams.
Upon release, Rita’s new album, “You & I,” was the highest new entry from a female act in the UK Official Albums Chart, debuting at #6 and landing the coveted #1 spot on the UK Official Independent Albums Chart. It features the #1 US Dance Radio hit “Praising You,” a rework of Fatboy Slim’s ‘90s chart-topping Grammy-nominated track and “You Only Love Me.”
‘You & I’ follows previous releases: Bang, a collaboration EP with GRAMMY-winning DJ and producer Imanbek that mixes modern pop with ‘80s and ‘90s floor-filling house; Phoenix, which has amassed over four billion streams and spawned four platinum singles, including the award-winning track “Lonely Together” with Avicii; and Ora, her platinum-certified debut album, which entered at #1 on the UK album charts.
