“I Should Be Ok (Acoustic)” showcases Femke’s emotional depth and musical prowess. With lyrics like “I should be ok by now, I made it past 30. Nobody can hurt me, I should be ok by now,” the song delves into the internal struggles of putting on a brave face while feeling vulnerable. Femke sings passionately, “I should be ok, I got someone who loves, saw through the tough me, still wanted to stay.”

“I Should Be Ok (Acoustic)” is a deeply personal track, but Femke has crafted it in a way that is relatable to a wider audience. The song’s introspective nature and stripped-down acoustic sound will appeal to fans of artists like Holly Humberstone. This rendition captures the intimacy and vulnerability of the original song, allowing listeners to connect with Femke’s emotions on a deeper level.

I Should Be Ok is a late-night poem. We try so hard to make it look like we are doing amazing in life but on the inside, it just doesn’t feel like it. It’s just pure raw honesty.” – Femke explained

Femke (Weidema) was born in Drachten, a rural town in Friesland, dubbed “the Kentucky of the Netherlands,” where she played accordion and studied classical music at a Dutch conservatory not far from her home. As a songwriter, Femke won the regional finals of the Netherlands’ Grand Pop Prize before receiving a full scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she studied voice and composition, winning several awards, including an ASCAP Harold Adamson scholarship, which enabled her to study under Lin Manuel Miranda as part of the Johnny Mercer Foundation at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Femke aims to create music that resonates with listeners looking for something beyond the typical top 40 love songs. Something that speaks to their own experiences and makes them feel heard.
