Audrey – “Yaburnee” music video

“‘Yaburnee’ is a song inspired by the Arabic term ya’aburnee, which literally translates to ‘you bury me’. It expresses wishing someone will die after you because you couldn’t handle the grief of living without them. We built a story around this concept about two lovers time traveling.” – Audrey

The Andrew G-directed video finds Audrey seated in an intimate setting. As she sings, the video transitions into different computer-generated scenes with abstract images.

‘Yaburnee’ contains a relatable storyline and gentle soul vocals. Also, the song possesses stripped-down instrumentation flavored with hip-hop, neo-soul, and R&B elements.

Audrey got her start singing the national anthems at major arenas along the East Coast. Also, she was featured on a Google commercial with Sampha that aired during the Grammys. Currently, after her freshman year at the NYU Clive Davis program, she’s taking time off to release new music.
