‘First Place’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who recently broke up with her significant other. Apparently, they were both at fault for breaking each other’s hearts. They were young and inexperienced, and they believed in words and not actions. Later, the woman admits that she fell out of love with her ex because her ex didn’t care, and in a way, she didn’t either. However, she wishes that her ex may one day understand what real love is all about.

‘First Place’ contains a post-relationship-based narrative, ear-pleasing vocalization, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Snoh Aalegra and Sinead Harnett. The likable tune possesses guitar-driven instrumentation flavored with a warm contemporary R&B vibration.
