Yaz is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter from London, England. Not too long ago, he released a lovely music video for her sophomore single, entitled, “Anymore,” produced by Wonderbeats and The Six.
The video finds Yaz traversing the familiar urban landscape of her home city, beginning in a nondescript meadow and finishing with her gazing thoughtfully out of a bus window. The eclectic and fast-paced video truly immerses the viewer into Yaz’s colorful world of hypnotic liquid DnB.

“I never thought I would say that I don’t wanna go back. I never thought we could break. But now, I notice all of the cracks in our dialect, all the things you left out. I confess I wasn’t finished yet, but I gotta let you go now. I’m standing in the street waiting by the bus stop, where we used to meet. And you’re not there anymore, you’re not there anymore. I can’t bare, bare the thought that you don’t care anymore.” – Yaz explained
‘Anymore’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who finds herself oftentimes riding past her ex-partner’s home. Apparently, each time she rides past his house, she wonders what it would feel like when she sees him again. Later, she admits, “I been through it all in my head, over and over again. People ask me if we can ever be friends. Over and over and over again, wish they would forget.”
‘Anymore’ contains a post-relationship-based narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of PinkPantheress and Elphi. The likable tune possesses rapid drum-laden instrumentation flavored with electronic and hyper pop elements. Furthermore, “Anymore” follows mildly on the heels of Yaz’s hugely successful debut single, “Mr Valentine,” written about her boyfriend, whose middle name happens to be Valentine.
Active on YouTube since the age of 13, Yaz has carved a true niche for herself and has gone on to amass a social media presence of over 750k. Her unique and truthful perspective showcases her duality; fresh and familiar with a nostalgic pop sensibility.
