Rayne – “Sour Candy” music video

“You can call it a feeling but you’re all that I’m needing. Even though I know that you know that you’re bad for me. But you call me this evening, boy, you got me believing. Even though I know that you’re no good for me, baby, you’re so polar. You’re low and then you’re solar, you’re the angel and the devil on my shoulder. You got me hot like a fever. So cold like a freezer and you’re always saying sorry like Bieber.” – lyrics

‘Sour Candy’ tells an intriguing tale about a young woman who shares a very challenging relationship with her significant other. The contemporary tune contains a relatable narrative, ear-pleasing vocalization, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Dua Lipa and Selena Gomez. Also, “Sour Candy” possesses groovy instrumentation flavored with an electro-pop vibration. Furthermore, “Sour Candy” serves as a tasty appetizing to what listeners can expect to hear from Rayne in the near future.

“You’re the angel and the devil on my shoulder.”

“‘Sour Candy’ is about liking someone and knowing they’re bad for you. They’re sweet and then they’re sour. And you know that they won’t change, but you still hope it’ll happen. My favorite moment shooting the music video was probably watching Jaevon dance. He’s incredible at coming up with choreography on the fly and it was really cool seeing him vibe to the song and move how he felt in the moment.” – Rayne explained

Rayne has already proven to be an incredible songwriter with multiple cuts under her trendy belt. Not too long ago, she was the youngest artist in attendance at The Songwriters Association of Canada camp this past March 2020. Already an expert performer, she has opened for Billie Eilish and Tyler Shaw. Also, she had appearances at The Calgary Stampede, Rockin’ River Fest, Surrey Canada Day, and The Sun Peaks Summer Festival.
