“It’s a final plea for solace before drowning in a tumultuous relationship I desperately try to save. But I end up breaking myself in the process. Which makes me a ‘sucker for the pain’ with only myself to blame for my bad decisions.” – Layla Kardan explained

‘Underwater’ finds Layla Kardan singing about a toxic relationship. The dark tune contains a troubling narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and an edgy soundscape that will surely resonate well with fans of Empara Mi. Also, “Underwater” follows hot on the heels of Kardan’s previously released singles including “Loyalty,” “No Place,” and “You.” Furthermore, “Underwater” is the fourth and final installment of Layla Kardan’s upcoming debut EP, entitled, “Abscission.”

“Hurt you if I go, but you’ll kill me if I stay.”
