Sophie Faith is a fast-rising singer-songwriter from London, England. Not too long ago, she released a jazzy heartbreak offering, titled, “Pinky Blues,” via the independent label, TLD Records.

“I actually wrote this single for an advert for a microphone company. They asked me to sum up what 2021 was to me, and I’d just come out of a relationship. The main focal point for us breaking up was the conversation around whether we were aligned on having children. I think it became really evident that we weren’t, and even having a small part of me that wants to fulfill dreams of being a mother, it felt like in order for me to be in the relationship, I would have to sacrifice that.” – Sophie Faith explained
Showcasing her impressive vocal range, “Pinky Blues” is drenched in (as the title suggests) a languid bluesy jazz production put together by Linden Jay. Sophie Faith pours her heart and emotions into the record with her flawless vocal delivery, interwoven with moreish guitar riffs and rapturous bass. The simple, yet effective instrumental has been polished by Sophie Faith’s infectious layers of soulful harmonies that add emphasis to her poetic lyricism.
Furthermore, “Pinky Blues” follows warmly on the heels of Sophie Faith’s previously released single, “Something I Said.” Also, the song precedes her forthcoming headline shows in London, Manchester, and Brighton.

“‘Pinky Blues’ is an ode to anyone who has had to make a decision based on what they want. Even if the immediate form of that person is still beautiful and amazing, your goals are just not aligned. I genuinely knew a lot of women in their 20s having to think really hard about their decisions of what they want from their partners/relationships. It’s the first time I’d written and recorded by myself in my room during lockdown, and it gave me the opportunity to be really honest and comfortable.” – Sophie Faith explained
As a bubbling name on the scene, Sophie Faith will embark on a run of headline shows at Manchester’s Blues Kitchen, Brighton’s The Green Door Store, and London’s Village Underground, booked across October and November. Promising to put on the show of her life, the shows will undeniably cement Sophie as an exceptional talent in the UK and beyond.
With a fiercely independent work ethic, Sophie first entered the scene in 2017, working with some of the most revered producers, including Fred Cox, Aston Rudi, and Lophiile. Connecting the dots with peers like Lauren Faith, Midnight Phunk, and Linden Jay, Sophie garnered support across BBC Radio 1Xtra, Rinse FM, and Radio 2, and being championed by Stormzy, Jamz Supernova, Rebecca Judd, Jamie Cullum, and DJ Target along the way. As her star continues to rise, Sophie is embarking on the most exciting chapter of her career to date, with “Pinky Blues” as her gorgeous new offering.
