Sophia Messa is a 19-year-old up-and-coming singer-songwriter based in New York. Not too long ago, she released a music video for her debut pop single, entitled, “moneydontfixlonely”.

“Introducing an artist visually is never an easy job, but I wanted to make something that was true to Sophia and her message. I wanted to capture the beauty in her pain and loneliness as well as her strength and growth. We combined references from Ancient Greek statues, French paintings, and ‘60s cinema to create a visual poem about self-love.” – Daddy, director
‘moneydontfixlonely’ tells the tale of a lonely young woman who is in a relationship with a guy who possesses wealth.
Apparently, she starts to feel like one of the expensive items which he owns. And that troubling thought doesn’t sit too well with her.
All she wants is his love, and what she desires most is for him to entertain her with his presence and hold her tight within his warm embrace.
‘moneydontfixlonely’ contains a relatable storyline and ear-welcoming vocals. Also, the bubbly tune possesses luxurious instrumentation produced and co-written by Ido Zmishlany (Camila Cabello, Demi Lovato).

Sophia Messa, a dual citizen of Brazil and the U.S., grew up in lower Manhattan. A first-generation American, she was born to self-made immigrant parents from Brazil and Russia.
She attended The Professional Performing Arts School (home to Alicia Keys) for middle and high school. While there, she was classically trained in vocal performance and opera.
During her senior year, she was accepted into The Berklee College of Music. At just three weeks in, she signed a record deal and headed back to New York to launch her career.
