Its production is dance, fun, and free; lyrically, though, it’s a sweet love song that could stand on its own as a ballad. We played around with this song so much since first making it in Spring 2021. It initially started with the chorus first. It didn’t have a bridge until months later. The delivery of the vocals transformed from flowy and soft to the punchy, heart-pounding form that it eventually took. Somehow, though, even with such an ambitious sound to the song, a simple and elegant one-shot lyric video seemed to fit ‘Technicolor’ better than any of the other larger-scale visuals we created in the process.” – REYSHA RAMI explained
