Quote the Raven releases a heartfelt Country tune, entitled, “Home is Worth the Blues”

Quote the Raven (Jordan Coaker and Kirsten Rodden-Clarke) is a folk duo from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Not too long ago, they released a heartfelt Country tune, entitled, “Home is Worth the Blues.”

Quote the Raven – “Home is Worth the Blues” video

‘Home is Worth the Blues’ is dedicated to the people who are working to live. The working class who gives it their all every day at a job that helps them survive and live within the world. The lyrics tell the story of how the home is the place in our lives that makes our day jobs worthwhile. We want this single to inspire listeners to continue their daily grind. Knowing at the end of the day, they get to come home to loved ones and relaxation. Also, to remember why working tirelessly is all worth it.” – Quote the Raven explained

The music video captures the essence of the lyrical story by taking place in a barn as farming is a very labor-intensive industry. Also, the video represents the story of how hard work pays off.

‘Home is Worth the Blues’ is an ode to those who dedicate their working lives for the joys that home provides. The haunting tune contains a relatable narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Kacey Musgraves, Brandi Carlile, and Joy Williams. Also, the song possesses guitar-driven instrumentation seasoned with Americana, folk, and natural Country ingredients. Furthermore, “Home is Worth the Blues” serves as a tasty appetizer of what listeners can expect to hear on Quote the Raven’s upcoming project, entitled, “Can’t Hold the Light.” The project is set to be released in the middle of 2021.

“Written in a slaughterhouse in Calgary, the single was inspired by the environment, the stories told, and the history within the building. We want this song to resonate with those who are always working tirelessly to make ends meet. Also, we want them to know that their voices are heard.” – Quote the Raven
