North Ave Jax – “Eastside” single

“This gon’ be my last time I gave my heart to the heartless. F*** I look like being brokenhearted? Knew this sh*t would end just as soon as it started. I’m coolin’ regardless. I need a ride-or-die by my side, thought that you was in it for life. But your pride grew up on the Eastside, where my enemies are friendly. Had to realize they be at yo’ neck, I gotta cut ties. Why is something real so hard to come by on the Eastside?” – lyrics

‘Eastside’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young guy who experiences a severe breakup with his significant other. Apparently, he has no more love for his ex and sticks his middle finger up at their short-lived love. Also, he vows that this will be the very last time that he gives his all to someone. Later, he addresses his ex, “Adding fuel to the fire, then you gaslight. Now I’m the bad guy.”

‘Eastside’ contains a relatable narrative, compelling vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Post Malone and Peech. The likable tune possesses acoustic guitar-laden instrumentation bursting with contemporary and alternative-rap elements. Furthermore, over the last week, “Eastside” went viral on TikTok. Plus, the song follows hot on the heels of North Ave Jax’s previously released single, entitled, “2 High 2 Speak.”
