Niia releases a captivating music video for her “Not Up For Discussion” single

Niia is an in-demand singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. Not too long ago, she released a captivating music video for her “Not Up For Discussion” single featuring Khruangbin’s bassist, Laura Lee.

Niia – “Not Up For Discussion” music video

“Sit up straight or don’t sit at all. Fall in love or don’t fall at all. Time is what we want but what we use the worst. Try your best, tell me does it hurt? Believe in fate or don’t believe at all. The grass is green but never really that tall. I’m not setting new intentions or telling you how to live. I’m tired of being good, got nothing left to give.” – lyrics

‘Not Up For Discussion’ highlights a bittersweet reality mixed with a sarcastic detachment and sense of irony. The cynical tune contains a relatable narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, it possesses mellow instrumentation flavored with indie-soul and contemporary R&B elements. Furthermore, “Not Up For Discussion” follows mildly on the heels of Niia’s latest album, entitled, “II: La Bella Vita.”

The Niia-directed music video was filmed by Elias Talbot in a chic, ‘70s creative haven in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles.

To date, Niia has accumulated over 20 million streams online across various platforms. Also, she has collaborated with Jazmine Sullivan, Gallant, Boogie, and Jorja Smith.
