“Salvation ain’t looking for me. I cut too many corners when God was asleep. Damnation tucked in my sleeve. I took too many drugs now I can’t see my feet.” – lyrics

The likable tune contains an abstract storyline, pleasing vocals, and energetic instrumentation flavored with alternative-rock elements.

Get acquainted with MXMS’s music by streaming their “Funeral Pop I” EP via Spotify. Also, the 6-track project includes the duo’s previous singles such as “Paris”, “After Night”, and “Gravedigger”.

“’Salvation Hurts’ is written about how extraordinarily painful the process is to be free from ___________.” – Jeremy & Ariel

In 2013, Levitan and Dawson met in Los Angeles after Levitan moved from New York City. Harbored feelings and trauma each had hidden away for a lifetime floated to the surface during their studio sessions.

Each story, each moment in their lives they recorded into a lyric, song, and vision. Therefore, their music contains darkness, emotions, and honesty.
