MXMS (me and my shadow) is an alternative-pop outfit consisting of singer Ariel Levitan and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Dawson. Not too long ago, they released a music video for their latest single “Salvation Hurts.” The funeral pop track is featured on their latest EP “Funeral Pop I.”
MXMS – “Salvation Hurts” music video

“Salvation ain’t looking for me. I cut too many corners when God was asleep. Damnation tucked in my sleeve. I took too many drugs now I can’t see my feet.” – lyrics
“Funeral Pop I” EP
In 2013, Levitan and Dawson met in Los Angeles after Levitan moved from New York City. Harbored feelings and trauma each had hidden away for a lifetime floated to the surface during their studio sessions. Each story, each moment in their lives they recorded into a lyric, song, and vision. Therefore, their music contains darkness, emotions, and honesty.
