“I was supposed to move from Canada to Nashville with this guy. We spent tons of money on visas & were making big plans before he suddenly ghosted. I later found out he went back to his ex and married her. I was pretty messed up and couldn’t make sense of it; the only explanation I could come up with was I never meant that much to him. He just needed to get ‘dating me out of his system’ before settling down with her. ‘Out of Your System’ is my painfully honest take on how it felt to be led on and disposed of.” – MCAULEY

When Lanie McAuley is not recording and performing as MCAULEY, she is busy acting. Her recent work includes a role in the Netflix movie, “How It Ends”, starring Forest Whitaker. Also, she has a recurring role on Hallmark’s “Chesapeake Shores” opposite Jesse Metcalfe, and a turn in the holiday flick, “Write Before Christmas”, starring Chad Michael Murray.
