Kid Travis releases an enticing pop tune, entitled, “Butterflies”

Kid Travis is a talented singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer from Philadelphia, PA. Not too long ago, he released an enticing pop tune, entitled, “Butterflies.”

Kid Travis – “Butterflies” single

“Darling, I’m scared of your dad. If he knew that I knew you like that, he would come running with an ax in hand. I know that he thinks that I’m half a man. Just do what you want, I don’t mean to bother. You’re somebody’s girl, you’re somebody’s daughter. How about now? We’ll do this right now. You know it’s going down, we’re going down.” – lyrics

‘Butterflies’ tells a delightful tale about a young guy who feels uneasy whenever he’s around his significant other. Apparently, he desires to see her as soon as possible because he doesn’t want her to experience loneliness. Later, he admits that he doesn’t care if she runs and tells everyone that he has feelings for her. Seconds later, he realizes if she does that, it will surely upset someone who is very close to her. And that’s when he reveals, “I’m still scared of your dad. If he knew I had you on my lap, he would grab his shotgun and pop a couple of caps.”

‘Butterflies’ contains a relatable storyline and pleasant-sounding melodies that will resonate well with fans of Josh Golden, Peter Manos, and Hayd. The likable tune possesses lush instrumentation flavored with contemporary pop and indie-R&B undertones. Furthermore, “Butterflies” follows hot on the heels of  Kid Travis’s previously released single, entitled, “Where You’re From.”

“You know it’s making a mess out of me. I swear one day you’ll be the death of me.”
