Unable to handle their age difference causes her to tell her partner, “I can’t change the reason, I need you to leave me, leave me behind. ‘Cause I know that it would be selfish of me to keep you here, just because you care – when I can’t make you happy.”
‘Leave Me Behind’ is laced with ear-pleasing vocals, soulful melodies, and a problematic relationship-based narrative that will resonate well with fans of Adele, Sophie Faith, and Tiana Major9. The song possesses lovely string arrangements and warm production courtesy of a Fender Rhodes.
