Kayla Rae and Atlus releases a lovely R&B duet, entitled, “Wasted”

Kayla Rae is an independent singer-songwriter from Denver, Colorado. Not too long ago, she and Atlus released an appealing music video for their lovely R&B duet, entitled, “Wasted.”

Kayla Rae and Atlus – “Wasted” single

“I wrote this song when I was going through a really rough time and couldn’t see the other side of it. Truly felt like nothing mattered. And everything was for nothing. I know now that’s never the case. Everything happens for reasons we may not know until long down the road. No amount of time is ever wasted because life is always teaching us what we need to know. Also, Atlus and I had an amazing time with the process of creating this song.” – Kayla Rae explained

‘Wasted’ contains a post-relationship narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and an emotional sound that will resonate well with fans of Jazmine Sullivan, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and Ella Mai. The sensitive song possesses guitar-driven instrumentation flavored with a mellow indie R&B aroma, with a dash of alternative seasoning. Furthermore, “Wasted” follows hot on the heels of Kayla Rae’s “Y.K.T.F.V.” single, which is featured on her 2020 debut EP, entitled, “Pressure.”

“Hating on me just to set you free, but I get it.”
