JUNG releases a playful music video for their new pop-rock single, entitled, “Something Beautiful”

JUNG is an exceptional duo from Sweden, comprised of brothers, Tom and Henrik Ljungqvist. Not too long ago, they released a playful music video for their new pop-rock single, titled, “Something Beautiful,” via Universal Music AB. The video was inspired by the classic American TV series, 90210.

“Maybe there’s no happy ending, maybe love will tear us apart. And if there’s no silver lining, I guess I’m dancing in the dark. And the world is turning on us, I know you feel it too. Something beautiful, I’m not giving a f*** about anything anymore like an animal. So, stay up ‘cause there’s nothing you gotta do. So irrational, just not ready to stop for anyone anymore.” – lyrics

‘Something Beautiful’ tells an intriguing tale that grapples with a relevant subject matter such as telling your secrets for attention, just to see if someone’s there. JUNG sings from experience, What if everyone’s pretending? What if no one really cares? JUNG feels this way, and they know that you feel the same way they do. Later, the dynamic duo admits, “We’re standing for something right.”

‘Something Beautiful’ serves as a savory taste of what listeners can expect to hear on JUNG’s upcoming EP, available on October 29th via Universal Music Sweden. On the EP, listeners will also find the laid-back song, “Sweet October.” This follows their single, “Somebody Like You.” Furthermore, the upcoming EP was mixed and mastered by Lars Norgren, who has previously worked with Tove Lo.

“I’m not giving a f*** about anything anymore.”

Since their debut in 2018, JUNG has generated over 160 million global streams and established themselves as artists with a gold-certified debut album, platinum-certified singles, and top 10 placements on radio charts.

JUNG’s music transcends genres and embraces a fusion of timeless melodies. Their captivating sound seamlessly blends modern dance-pop with folk and R&B influences, evoking a warm and vibrant atmosphere that brings to mind the likes of Majid Jordan, Bon Iver, and 1975.

Their debut album, “Dreamers,” has already surpassed an astounding 100 million global streams, while their sophomore release, “Cause In The End You Know That Everybody Dies,” has achieved an impressive 30 million streams within just one year. As they gear up for an exhilarating 2024, filled with exciting singles and a highly anticipated album, JUNG’s evolution and ability to captivate their audience remains undeniable.

The decision to form a band came with careful consideration. If Tom and Henrik were to invest in the project together, it would be wholeheartedly. Strong passion and determination are something the brothers have in common, and they constantly want to evolve – both as artists and songwriters. Regardless, of the theme in their songs; love, melancholy, or the apocalyptic, the music from JUNG is infused with hope and light.

JUNG has previously worked with several accredited members of the industry including Fanny Hultman (Kygo, Ellie Goulding, LEON, Shy Martin), TIESTO’s composer – Oskar Nyman, Sting and Melody Gardot’s songwriter – Hilda Stenmalm, as well as BTS’ producer – Tom Wiklund.
