“[One night, I was at a party full of other musicians]. There was one guy that you could tell had taken something. He acted like an a**hole, was mean to my friend, and after a while, he passed out. I remember how some people helped him even though he definitely didn’t deserve it. After this, I got aware of other musicians that are acting the same way. They live the myth of a Rockstar life but without the success. And, unfortunately, the people around them are the ones who have to pay for it.” – hanna ögonsten explained

‘Rockstar’ finds hanna ögonsten singing about her first encounter with a loser. The likable tune contains a relatable narrative, memorable melodies, and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Salt-N-Pepa, Dora Jar, Remi Wolf, and Lokoy. Also, the song possesses luxurious instrumentation bursting with electro-pop and alternative-dance flavors. Furthermore, “Rockstar” is the second taste of what listeners can expect to hear on hanna ögonsten’s upcoming debut EP, entitled, “bby boo, ögonsten & you.”
