Haiden releases an appealing music video for his anti-love anthem, entitled, “Sorry To Your Next Ex”

Haiden is a rising singer-songwriter from Ojai, California. Not too long ago, he released an appealing music video for his anti-love anthem, entitled, “Sorry To Your Next Ex.”

Haiden – “Sorry To Your Next Ex” video

“Sorry to your next ex for the bar that I set. I might’ve been too perfect, put up with your bullsh*t for a little bit too long. Now you’re having trouble moving on. So go feed them whatever lies to get yourself through. Maybe look online, somebody will love you. But will they love like I used to? I don’t mean to be in your mind, I can’t seem to get out. Must be all of the times I made you happier than you are now. Bet they won’t get you high enough to get over me. They may be tall but don’t stack up to me.” – lyrics

‘Sorry To Your Next Ex’ tells an intriguing tale about a young guy who wishes his ex-girlfriend good luck in finding someone who can love her like he used to. Apparently, she’s having trouble moving on without him and spends her time on social media to eliminate her loneliness. Out of the blue, he tells her, “You’re so see-through, posting your fun, I could really care less.” Later, he further shows his ex that he really doesn’t care about her anymore, “Tell them I’m an a$$hole. Say that I was needy. I never made you laugh once. Whatever makes it easy to find another perfect pawn that’s down to make up for your flaws.”

“I hope you find a guy to fill the void. ‘Cause you and me know you’ll never last without a toy.”

“Coming off the wave of my last release, I really wasn’t expecting such an overwhelming response to this song. But just like the last time, y’all took a half-finished song idea and blew it up bigger than I could have ever hoped for. Having two, back-to-back viral moments have given me a whole new appreciation for the fans – and if I’m being honest – I’m a little bit relieved to know that the story resonates with them ha-ha.” – Haiden explained

After teasing his “Sorry to Your Next Ex” single on TikTok, Haiden saw over 25,000 pre-saves. He quickly went into the studio to finish the record with LA-based producer, Barry Fowler. Once complete, he teamed up with Ben Allen (Chelsea Collins, Desiigner, Amelia Moore) to shoot a visual that would embody the angst and bitterness of “Sorry to Your Next Ex.”

The gas-powered rage record speaks directly to the ex that you were way too good for. With a liberal application of distortion and attitude, this track borrows rock elements to heighten the intensity of the pop sound that Haiden is already known for. The single will be featured on his forthcoming debut EP, entitled, “Can’t Hurt Me,” available in spring 2022.

Haiden is in his last semester at the University of Southern California. He continues to win fans with his witty lyricism, powerful guitar lines, layered harmonies, and candid expression. This past January, Haiden released “Can’t Hurt Me,” his first single to find virality on TikTok. After teasing the song in a post, his followers jumped from 3,500 to 35,000 overnight. With no digital spend or editorial support, the record has amassed over half a million streams in its first month, a strong testament to Haiden’s growing fanbase.
