Get to Know Ella Tiritiello and Her Melancholic New Single, “Younger”: An Emotional Reflection on Teenage Struggles

Ella Tiritiello (@tiritielloella) is a rising 17-year-old singer from Kristianstad, Sweden. Not too long ago, she released a melancholic new single, “Younger.”

“I can’t escape my own damn life, can’t get it right, God knows I’ve tried. I’ve been around a hundred times; will I ride this train until I die? When will I get some peace of mind? Wish I was a little younger, wish I was a little older. Wish I didn’t give a sh*t about the eyes of the beholders. I wish I didn’t have to carry all this weight upon my shoulders.” – lyrics

“Younger” is another melancholic pop gem built around the melodic vocal talents of Ella Tiritiello. The track sees Ella reflecting on the ambivalence of growing up and some of the struggles today’s teenagers go through – something she believes many can relate to with their own experiences. Ella sings, “People talk, that’s what they do. Project their fears and pin them all on you. Against that wall, I’m stuck like glue.”

The emerging star’s stunning vocals are on full display for the world to hear. The track finds Ella delving into the past and pondering her future. Furthermore, “Younger” follows hot on the heels of Ella’s previously released single, “Again and Again.”

“Sometimes, I think about what a special teenage life I have. From one day to another, my life changed drastically – where I went from being just a normal 14-year-old from a small town in Sweden to all of a sudden getting lots of attention, thousands of new followers, performing in front of tens of thousands, and get to meet and work with some of my biggest idols. It’s been an amazing journey, but a new reality to which I’m still adapting. Some days, I wish I could go back to the time before or fast forward, so I got a few more years of experience. That’s what ‘Younger’ is about for me, growing up.” – Ella Tiritiello explained

Swedish teen sensation, Ella Tiritiello, has made a name for herself. With a debut performance in 2021 with an extraordinary tribute to Avicii featuring The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, Ella was chosen to sing the late Avicii’s “For A Better Day” on top of the iconic Globe, renamed Avicii Arena.

Since then, Ella has been invited to perform at some of the most prestigious shows including being re-invited to perform at the ‘Avicii Tribute Concert’ in the arena alongside Zara Larsson, invited by Nile Rodgers to perform at ‘We Are Family Foundation,’ as well as the ‘Brilliant Minds’ tech conference hosting well-known guests such as Alicia Keys.

“I had my thrill but I’m still bored, too many people to ignore, been here a hundred times before. It’s something else I’m looking for, aimed for that high road hit the floor.” – lyrics

“Younger” is more proof that Ella Tiritiello is a new force to be reckoned with. With an EP coming next year, “Younger” is a tantalizing taste of what to expect from this emerging star.
