Conor Albert is a South London-based artist, songwriter, producer, and self-taught multi-instrumentalist. James Smith is a singer-songwriter from London. Not too long ago, they released a nostalgic soul-pop tune, entitled, “Crescent Moon,” one of Albert’s most soulful moments to date.

“James came in with the concept of being that boy that sits on the crescent moon in the DreamWorks intro. Throwing a fishing line through the clouds and reeling in the love of your life. James is a master lyricist in my opinion.” – Conor Albert explained

‘Crescent Moon’ contains a relatable narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Hope Tala and edbl. The likable tune possesses delicate piano stabs, rubbery bass lines, and bluesy, groove-laden percussion. Furthermore, the instrumentation was recorded live throughout, effortlessly fusing James’s and Conor’s two respective genre landscapes.

“James and I have very different projects musically, but massive appreciations for the other’s genre. In the last year, I’ve found a huge love for more pop-leaning music. And James is such a massive fan of the neo-soul, beat scene kind of stuff, so we complemented each other perfectly. I think what’s best is that our fans will be exposed to a different kind of music with this collab, something I’m really excited about.” – Conor Albert explained

Conor Albert’s playing and beat-making, showcased via his series of compelling loop videos, has earned him more than 100K followers. Also, his success has caught the attention of Justin Bieber, ?uestlove, Jacob Collier, and Zane Lowe.
