“Tell me I’m the only one. How can I believe the love? Tell me where he knows you from. Why did your eyebrows raise up when I introduced you to him? That means there’s an inside joke, something I’m not meant to know. Don’t try that I’m a h** as well, I hate when you think you done played me. Makes me wanna start self-snitching. You thought you had the upper hand in it, you the reason I call b*tches b*tches.” – lyrics

‘Toxicity’ tells an intriguing tale about a young guy who shares a problematic relationship with his significant other. Apparently, his companion is open, caring, and calming, and she doesn’t stress him out often. However, he feels she doesn’t belong to him. Therefore, with a heavy heart, he tells her, “Try my best, you left me here. You like boys in designer wear, I like girls that I shouldn’t be near. We all got a life that seems unfair.”

‘Toxicity’ flirts between R&B, rap, and UK garage. The song is the second taste of Cole LC’s upcoming genre-hopping mixtape, set to be released in 2023 via his label imprint, LC Recordings. The project features Cole’s previously released single, “(Most) Humans Are *icks.”

“‘Toxicity’ is a song about unfaithfulness between partners. It’s about the guy your girl tells you not to worry about, toxic situations as the title implies. It’s the immature actions someone you care about can draw out of you when you develop feelings and don’t want to get hurt or lessen the hurt you feel.” – Cole LC explained

Cole LC’s inspirations are drawn from multiple influences. He honed his skills and built an audience by sharing original tunes and freestyle raps across social media and busking from an early age. After releasing his first set of tracks in 2021, Cole performed at Reading, Leeds, and Parklife festivals, and picked up support from GRM Daily, SBTV, and Mixtape Madness.
