Aminé (Adam Aminé Daniel) is a five-time platinum artist based in Portland, OR. Not too long ago, he released a captivating audiovisual for his “Woodlawn” single.

“Woodlawn” music video

“Came a long way from that Woodlawn Park. Now, young Aminé pushin’ push to start. Mr. Yellowman got himself a lil’ jam. Made my fetty in Japan ’cause I do this sh*t for Marc. Playin’ him my sh*t through the phone, he tell me keep my foot up on they necks for the throne. You ain’t really on ’til all your ni^^as on. I tell him keep his head up and he set up when he home.” – lyrics

The music video finds Aminé returning home to Portland’s Woodlawn Park, where he is surrounded by Pandemic-ready friends in black masks. While there, he takes over his childhood basketball court and raps like his life depends on it. Also, the video intercuts high-octane footage of ATV stunting, snowmobiles, local hotspots, and—perhaps most notably—his couch flanked by a whole ton of Portland Trailblazers swag.

‘Woodlawn’ serves as a wonderful taste of what listeners can expect to hear on Aminé’s critically acclaimed album, entitled, “Limbo”, via Republic Records. Upon release, the project bowed in the Top 20 of the Billboard Top 200, generating over 50 million streams online.

Aminé performs on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!

Not too long ago, Aminé turned heads with a (literally) elevated performance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! The artist-to-watch took to the skies in a hot air balloon adorned with country flags. Also, the video highlighted symbols of religions across the world to honor George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Sandra Bland.

Aminé gave “Woodlawn” its late-night television debut by medleying it into the bold “Burden”. Also, he added another dimension to the record and performed the album in its entirety live for fans online.

LIVE FROM LIMBO

Aminé set the stage for “Limbo” with anthems such as “Shimmy” (13.1 million Spotify streams); “Riri” (9.2 million Spotify streams); and, most recently, “Compensating” [feat. Young Thug] (4.8 million Spotify streams).
