A is for Arrows is an up-and-coming electronic-pop duo based in Toronto, Canada. Not too long ago, they released a music video for their debut single, entitled, “Without You”.

“This song came from a dark place, yet every time I sing through it, I can feel the positive undertones of the experience. I was physically away from the person I love. Staying in an Airbnb with people I didn’t know. I felt out of place, I felt insecure. I felt like I was in high school. The bad kind of high school. I didn’t feel like I was good enough and wanted nothing more than to run away from the whole thing.” – Alessia Balasbas

‘Without You’ serves as A is for Arrows’ biggest moment yet and an epic introduction to what listeners can expect from the duo.

The dreamy tune contains a relatable storyline, pleasing vocals, and well-shaped melodies. Also, the song possesses melodic instrumentation scented with a warm electro-pop aroma.

“Alessia and I were on a writing trip in L.A. which didn’t end up shaping up how we wanted. We were young, naive, and felt directionless. A lot of that trip was Alessia and I aimlessly exploring L.A. feeling discouraged. The bones of that song were started there with that feeling of emptiness we shared. I’ll never forget standing at the end of that dock on Venice Beach looking out to the horizon, I think we really captured that feeling in this song.”— Eric Robbs

A is for Arrows comprises of Alessia Balasbas (multi-instrumentalists) and Eric Robbs (guitarist). They are polar opposites who tap into unique chemistry when they create together.

‘Without You’ will be featured on their upcoming debut EP, entitled, “Roses”, produced by Joel Stouffer (bülow, Dragonette, Ria Mae).
