Valntna releases a heartfelt R&B tune, entitled, “Vivid Dreams”

Valntna is a talented singer-songwriter from south London, England. Not too long ago, she released a heartfelt R&B tune, entitled, “Vivid Dreams.”

Valntna – “Vivid Dreams” single

“‘Vivid Dreams’ is based on trusting in your intuition and tapping into your highest self for guidance and answers you seek. The song is actually inspired by a personal experience of mine that I had about a year ago. I was seeing this guy and I started to have this really uncomfortable feeling about a friendship he was building with another woman. I just felt he wasn’t being completely honest about the nature of their relationship. Something was just not sitting right with me and when I would question him about it – he would always find a way to make it about my insecurities.

In all honesty, at the time, I believed him. But then, I started having random dreams about them. One day, I had the craziest dream. And when I asked him about it, he couldn’t hide the truth. My dream had already revealed it all to me. Deep down, I always knew I just didn’t trust my intuition and I kept praying for a sign and it came to me in my dreams. ” – Valntna explained

‘Vivid Dreams’ contains a relatable narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Jazmine Sullivan, Kajé, and Sierra Blax. The likable tune possesses acoustic guitar-laden instrumentation flavored with neo-soul and contemporary R&B elements. Furthermore, “Vivid Dreams” is featured on Valntna’s new eight-track EP, entitled, “Shadow Work,” executively produced and co-written by Pink Mayne.

“Trust is an issue if I don’t trust myself more. My intuition will never do me wrong.”

“‘Shadow Work’ is about facing your traumas and uncovering the parts of yourself that you’ve repressed, disowned, and rejected. The process of exploring your inner darkness, diving deep into the subconscious and allowing yourself to truly feel and face life in the understanding that with light comes darkness. ‘Shadow Work’ allows you fully show up as your true self. You no longer fear the shadows that reside around the corner of your own decision.” – Valntna explained

“When it came down to finishing the project, I felt it was missing something. So I got into the studio with Pink and William and the creation of ‘Vivid Dreams’ came so naturally. It was a release I didn’t know I needed.” – Valntna explained

“Ancestors, you know what to do, come through.”

“You told me I was crazy. And it’s just my insecurities. I nearly lost myself, I had to pause for a minute. I close my eyes and see the signs. Won’t let this love sh*t turn me blind. I might be cool but I ain’t stupid. Don’t take my lightness for no weakness ‘cause I  see shadows in the dark and they protect my heart.” – lyrics
