Taylor Castro releases a cloudy emo-pop tune, entitled, “Hurricane”

Taylor Castro is a singer-songwriter/actress from Pembroke Pines, Florida. Not too long ago, she released a cloudy emo-pop tune, entitled, “Hurricane.”

Taylor Castro – “Hurricane” single

“If you loved me more, you’d make a way. Let’s be honest, babe. No, I’m not your sun, I’m just your moon. But what did I expect from you? I’m trying not to pull you out before you’ve begun to sprout. But I’m starving, give me something. No, I don’t mean to doubt. But, darling, there’s a drought. And pride’s a pain, you need rain. So, I turn into a hurricane.” – lyrics

‘Hurricane’ tells a heartfelt tale about a young woman who shares a challenging relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she wants to get her companion’s attention but finds difficulty in doing so. Therefore, she rages uncontrollably, hoping her partner doesn’t get knocked down in the process.

“Take precautions ‘cause I’ll turn into a hurricane.”

“A hurricane is basically this mutant rainstorm. So I felt like it was a great metaphor for trying to get closer to someone by essentially getting into a fight with them and tracking what makes them tick. As wrong as that behavior may be, it’s only natural, and this song is about it from the manipulator’s point of view.” – Taylor Castro explained

‘Hurricane’ contains a troubled relationship-based narrative, ear-pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies that will resonate well with fans of Demi Lovato, Olivia Rodrigo, and Kelly Clarkson. The gloomy tune possesses stormy instrumentation flavored with a coastal indie-pop vibration. Furthermore, “Hurricane” serves as a wonderful presentation to what listeners can expect to hear on Taylor Castro’s upcoming full-length concept album, entitled, “Girl, Afraid,” available in summer 2021.

Taylor Castro – “Girl, Afraid”

“I really wanted to bring out a new side of me for this album. GIRL, AFRAID is a darker world I needed to explore. A lot of doors are opening up for me with music, so I am going to walk through them and go where life is taking me.” – Taylor Castro stated

Taylor Castro has a wealth of opportunities available to her. Not too long ago, she released her “Girl, Afraid” single, which debuted at the #36 spot on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 Indicator Chart. This success made Castro one of the first independent artists to land at such a high inaugural position. Currently, she holds the #14 slot on the Dance chart in Ireland and Top 200 on the mainstream charts of Apple Music in both Ireland and Turkey. More than 73 countries have embraced the track – with seven remixes by DJs such as Brixxton, Until Dawn, and Klubjumpers.
