Sofi Bonde – “Why” lyric video

“Why, never saw it coming but you see. Loving eyes are bound to be blurred by its own needs. Shaken by the past, the fall, the jump. Holding on to everything I wanted to believe. Oh, why, can’t I see? Got enough of making me alright ‘nough of making me okay.” – lyrics

‘Why’ tells an intriguing tale about a young woman who has never made a promise to herself that she couldn’t keep. Never has she been in a relationship seeking empowerment. Perhaps, cutting off a thread that made her safe, is equivalent to cutting off a life carefully wrapped up in a home. Later, she admits, “Everybody here has been the one. Everybody here has been a fool of falling wrong.”

‘Why’ sends a message to listeners that you are good enough just the way you are. The song is heavily influenced by the legendary Studio 54 atmosphere. The funky grooves of the 1980s, Sofi Bonde proudly proclaims every instrument was played live by artists from the U.S., France, Italy, and Sweden! Thanks to this, the track will have you asking “Why” doesn’t all modern music sound this good? Ear-pleasing vocals, infectious piano riffs, and a nostalgic pop vibration.
