Roses & Revolutions (Alyssa Coco, Matt Merritt) is an indie-pop outfit from Rochester, New York. Not too long ago, they released their “Dancing in a Daydream” single featuring Weathers.

Roses & Revolutions – “Dancing in a Daydream” single featuring Weathers

“‘Dancing in a Daydream’ is about escaping and not wanting to face reality. It’s about living in a false reality for so long that it actually starts becoming your new world.” – Roses & Revolutions

‘Dancing in a Daydream’ contains a dreamy narrative, powerhouse vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses vibrant instrumentation flavored with robust synths, airy guitars, and thick percussion.

Furthermore, “Dancing in a Daydream” will be featured on Roses & Revolutions’ upcoming fairytale-inspired EP, entitled, “Under the Spell”, set to be released on April 17, 2020.

“Don’t wanna wake up right now”

Roses & Revolutions - “Dancing in a Daydream” cover

“‘Under the Spell’ is a collection of emotions experienced over the past year. A mix of anxiety, identity crisis, paranoia, false hope, and everything in between rolled into a batch of songs. We’re very visual people and thought having some illustrations to help us tell our stories would be an interesting way to express these emotions in a sort of fairytale-like manner  ” – Alyssa Coco

In order to communicate the vision, Roses & Revolutions sketched out a loose fairytale with illustrations (as a creative north star for recording). In the end, they project a relatable tale through a prism of fantasy. Also, creating the ultimate sort of fairytale—one that makes you feel just a little bit better.

Roses & Revolutions’ inspirations include Ella Vos, Bishop Briggs, Amy Shark, Kaleo, and Lorde. So far, they have shared the stage with K.Flay, Nina Nesbitt, Daughtry, Kaleo, and VÉRITÉ.

On February 28, they will begin a co-headlining tour with experimental electro-rock band KOPPS, and special guest Caroline Vreeland.
