“A massive thank you to Vevo! What you guys do for emerging artists of all genres and career stages is incredible,” Reneé Rapp stated. “I personally cannot thank you enough for your continued support, especially as I was transitioning from acting into the singing world – it meant so much to me knowing that I had this fantastic team rallying behind me. In April of this year, I was lucky enough to release two videos for Vevo’s DSCVR program which was such a fun experience. That partnership with Vevo’s team blossomed into opportunities allowing me to amplify cultural moments that are near and dear to my heart, such as Pride. Thank you so much for believing in me, growing with me, and championing me – I look forward to many more years of working with you all.”
“Snow Angel” was filmed at the August Wilson Theater, where Reneé made her Broadway debut in Mean Girls. The performance begins in Reneé’s dressing room, the camera panning past scattered makeup and a bouquet of roses, Reneé perched on her vanity. She slowly rises, wanders through a dimly lit hallway, and enters onto the stage, powerfully belting out to a sea of red velvet chairs.

“We’re so excited to release this beautiful content with our DSCVR Artist of the Year, Reneé Rapp,” says JP Evangelista, SVP, Content, Programming and Marketing, Vevo, “Watching her go from Broadway to our DSCVR stage, to her debut album and quickly selling out international tour has been such a thrill. Reneé has everything that makes a superstar: unbridled ambition, a collaborative nature, a passion for their craft, and raw, undeniable talent. She was a dream to work with, and we’re so happy to capture such vocal prowess! Being even a small part of her journey so far has been a distinct privilege, and we are so excited to see her star shine even brighter in the coming years.”
Reneé and Vevo have worked closely together throughout 2023, with her being named a Vevo DSCVR artist in April, releasing performances of “Too Well” and “Bruises.” In honor of Vevo’s DSCVR Artist to Watch program’s tenth anniversary, Reneé was named Vevo’s “DSCVR Artist of the Year” in October at the annual Music Business Worldwide A&R Awards in London.
