Paul Mayson (@paulmaysonmusic) is a Dutch producer. Not too long ago, he released his highly anticipated debut album, titled, “One Life,” exclusively via SONY NL. The project fuses Paul’s longtime passion for house music with genre-crossing sounds and eclectic collaborations from all over the world. The project is a fresh, open-minded take on dance music with a summery feel.
Paul Mayson – “One Life” album
“The album celebrates life, freedom, and diversity; and embodies the uplifting message of dance music, enriched by the sounds and colors of the genres that shaped my childhood. To make you feel happy and free.
The album is a blend of sounds and culture, with house music as its backbone. It was really exciting taking elements from different genres, working with a group of incredible featuring artists that come from very different backgrounds, and bringing all of these sounds and flavors together on one project. There are no rules in music.” – Paul Mayson explained
‘One Life’ showcases a more experimental, indie electronic side to Paul’s music making, with tracks such as Tell Me How, You Get Me High, and I Want You. The album features renowned international artists such as Saint Sinner (USA – Grammy Nominated), Jono McCleery (UK – Ninja Tune), Isabel Usher (NL), and Sharlene Hector (UK – Basement Jaxx). “One Life” will be accompanied by a digital art piece by Dutch visual artist Thomas van der Kooi, who brings the album cover to life with his signature artistic style.
The focus track, “Automatic,” blends ‘90s house music with analog synths and guitars, a nice fit for house and dance playlists.
