Medusa – “Alone with You” single
“I’ve been waiting all night for some communication, mm. These days, I don’t even feel like we’re close at all. We’re never together, you always find something better to do. I don’t wanna go out tonight. I just wanna stay inside, with you beside me. But, you don’t really care ‘bout what I say. All you really care ‘bout is your friends, yeah. What a girl gotta do to get your attention, some of your affection?” – lyrics
‘Alone with You’ tells a bittersweet tale about a young woman who shares a challenging relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she treats her partner very well and is even considered the best girlfriend he has ever had. Therefore, she doesn’t quite understand why she isn’t a top priority in his life, and why he chooses his friends over spending time with her. Later, she admits that all she wants to do is love her companion even though he doesn’t give her the attention that she so much desires to have.
“Don’t wanna go out tonight. I wanna stay inside with you.”
“‘Alone with You’ is about when your significant other is not giving you as much time and attention as they should. And you’re trying and trying to get them to spend some time with you alone.” – Medusa explained
‘Alone with You’ contains a relationship-based narrative, pleasing vocals, and harmonious melodies that are sure to pull on your heartstring. Also, the likable tune possesses groovy instrumentation flavored with a warm contemporary R&B aroma. Furthermore, “Alone with You” emits an ‘80s-inspired vibe which takes cues from Ella Mai, Jhené Aiko, Justin Timberlake, and Chris Brown.
