“A year ago, I went through a really tumultuous relationship. I dated this girl for a year and a half, and she completely manipulated my brain into thinking I am not who I am. She brought out probably the worst sides of me that I have ever seen. I wasn’t myself.” – Kayla Diamond

‘Cry Wolf’ tells a bittersweet tale of a young woman who cried wolf so many times that she began to believe her own lies.

The likable tune contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and lively instrumentation flavored with dance and electro-pop elements.

“I can’t write happy music all the time. I must pull from past emotions to create new music and to resonate with what people are going through. Not everyone is happy all the time. You can have a married artist—I’m engaged—but I’m still writing breakup songs.” – Kayla Diamond

Kayla Diamond was supposed to be a lawyer but fate had a different plan.

The seeds of change were planted in a dream she had the summer before starting law school. She woke up with a melody in her head and lyrics poured out in a stream of divine inspiration.

Before she knew it, she had written her first song, entitled, “Crazy”. The likable tune ended up as the winning song in Slaight Music’s 2015 “It’s Your Shot” competition. That success landed Diamond a recording contract with Cadence Music.
