“You promised the world and I fell for it. I put you first and you adored it. You set fires to my forest and you let it burn. Sang off-key in my chorus ‘cause it wasn’t yours. I saw the signs and I ignored it. Rose-colored glasses all distorted. You set fire to my purpose and I let it burn.” – lyrics

Justin Tranter co-wrote “Lose You to Love Me” with Selena Gomez, Julia Michaels, and Mattman & Robin (Mattias Per Larsson and Robin Lennart Fredrikksson).

The song tallies Tranter’s second number one Hot 100 hit to-date alongside Justin Bieber’s (2016) “Sorry” single.

In addition to the success of “Lose You to Love Me”, Tranter’s monumental year will soon reach another high point when he is honored with ACLU’s prestigious Bill of Rights Award later this month.
