“Dancing On The Low” tells a poignant story, expressing feelings of doubt and desire. Lines such as ‘giving up on you’ and ‘you say you’re alone, but I don’t trust a thing’ emphasize the challenges faced in relationships. The duality of longing and uncertainty is palpable, painting a vivid picture of a discreet romance teetering on the edge.
Listeners are drawn to how Roneyboys portrays the nuances of attraction against a backdrop of distrust. The recurring sentiment that ‘my baby’s on the move, she’s been dancing on the low’ suggests a restlessness that many can relate to. The infectious rhythm combined with sincere lyrics, “There’s something about the way you’re calling my name,” makes it easy to immerse oneself in the emotional rollercoaster of the song.
Ultimately, “Dancing on the Low” is a deep exploration of the struggle between desire and apprehension. With its catchy melody and powerful lyrics, Roneyboys delivers a track that encourages self-reflection and resonates with anyone who has navigated the intricacies of love.
“It would be me in a droptop right next to you.”

Shortly after Bruno Mars tweeted a video of 9-year-old Ian singing “The Lazy Song” in 2011, The RoneyBoys’ YouTube channel went viral. As a result, the boys were discovered by the super-producer duo Jam & Lewis, who have since mentored and developed them into the artists that they are today.
The RoneyBoys have been privileged to perform on stage with El DeBarge, Baby Bash, Switch, B. Howard, and more. They released a trilogy of EPs, a tribute to the nostalgic eras of soul/R&B from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. SouulBoogie (2019), Warm Summer Nights (2019), and Start It Right (2020). In 2022, they collaborated with B. Howard on the single “Wait 4 U” and in the same year released a single titled “Before I Met You” with Baby Bash. Now, RoneyBoys are currently in the studio preparing for their next release.
