Shortly after Bruno Mars tweeted a video of 9-year-old Ian singing “The Lazy Song” in 2011, The RoneyBoys’ YouTube channel went viral. As a result, the boys were discovered by the super-producer duo Jam & Lewis, who have since mentored and developed them into the artists that they are today.
The RoneyBoys have been privileged to perform on stage with El DeBarge, Baby Bash, Switch, B. Howard, and more. They released a trilogy of EPs, a tribute to the nostalgic eras of soul/R&B from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. SouulBoogie (2019), Warm Summer Nights (2019), and Start It Right (2020). In 2022, they collaborated with B. Howard on the single “Wait 4 U” and in the same year released a single titled “Before I Met You” with Baby Bash.
