“Sometimes, we as singers just long to be serenaded. This song was written at the very start of quarantine. As the future of live music started to look bleak, the idea of being serenaded kept replaying through my mind. Also, as an entertainer, watching other entertainers feeds my soul. That expression that inspires runs I wouldn’t have ever thought of. There’s a sense of longing in the song as well, however sweet, for that intimate moment.
