Hauskey – “Slow” music video
“A great song is like a great movie. You become so engrossed in it that you ‘become it’ and forget you’re even watching a movie. That’s what good music should do too.” – Hauskey stated
‘Slow’ is a song of self-examination, weaknesses, and faults (and what those faults can lead to). The Joey Hunter-audiovisual finds Hauskey riding a motorbike to a deserted field. While there, he eats a pizza, watches airplanes flying in the sky, and listens to music on his Discman. Out of the blue, he receives a text message from someone who wants to know when will the pizzas be delivered. Shortly afterward, Hauskey hurries away.
‘Slow’ contains a relatable narrative, pleasing vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the likable tune possesses groove-laden instrumentation flavored with an alternative-pop aroma. Furthermore, “Slow” serves as a wonderful introduction to what listeners can expect to hear on Hauskey’s upcoming EP.
Hauskey’s music fits in the same sonic ballpark with songs created by fellow Australian Kevin Parker of Tame Impala. Also, his music tells stories, colored by life’s daily glitches.
