“Dear, Los Angeles, you’re breaking me down. Sometimes I think about you lying on the ground. All I do is work for you all day and I’m not sure I’ll ever love the life I’ve made. Dear, Los Angeles, I came to you with dreams. Now all that’s left of me is a silhouette of a dreamer. I’ve seen through your smoggy eyes and I’m not sure if these thoughts are yours or mine.” – lyrics

‘Dear Los Angeles’ tells a gloomy tale of a young woman who says goodbye to the life she has made in Los Angeles. Apparently, she experienced heartaches and hardships while residing there. Consequently, she decides to leave for good but fears she will be missed if she does so.

‘Dear Los Angeles’ contains a sentimental narrative, laidback vocals, and tuneful melodies. Also, the stripped-down ballad possesses guitar-driven instrumentation scented with a warm emo-pop aroma.

The awe-inspiring golda is nothing shy of incredible. She grew up in Chicago and San Diego to Ukrainian parents who only spoke Russian in the house. At the age of five, she discovered her love for music when she taught herself how to sing opera.

golda possesses the songwriting prowess of talents like Lorde, YEBBA, and Phoebe Bridgers. Also, she has a sensational skill for crafting catchy songs that are full of sincerity.

‘Dear Los Angeles’ follows hot on the heels of her “Wish I Was Someone Else” and “Under” singles. All three tunes serve as a fantastic introduction to what listeners can expect to hear on golda’s upcoming EP, which is set to be released late 2020.
