‘I’m Alive’ tells an endearing tale about an optimistic young woman who shares a budding relationship with her significant other. Apparently, she’s a realist who understands that they might fall because life has many ups and downs. But no matter what—she believes all will be well because her companion is by her side.
“I’m Alive” contains an inspiring narrative, pleasing vocals, and harmonious melodies. Also, the song possesses Caribbean-flavored instrumentation seasoned with a very strong tropical-pop aroma. Gaurika uses her life experiences for inspiration. She grew up listening to the Bee Gees, Lata Mangeshkar, Elvis, and Paul Simon. At the age of 11, she realized her gift for writing lyrics. When she lost her mother, she turned to writing as a form of expression and healing. The artist-to-watch cites Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, and Justin Timberlake as some of her musical influences.
Through inspiring music with a deeper meaning, she hopes to spread a powerful message using her personal journey as an intersection where art and life join in union with the ultimate goal to create something that can help people get through life as she found a transformative method, in which her talents can spread love and light classing herself as a global citizen of the world.
